February 14, 2017

Hong Kong's major English-language newspaper company, The South China Morning Post, has joined forces with Sands China Ltd. in a multi-year co-branded publishing agreement. Together they will publish 'Sands STYLE', a quarterly magazine covering the lifestyle for the integrated destination resort Sands Resort Macao.

The publication will feature highlights all the entertainment, shopping, dining and lifestyle options of the vibrant Sands Cotai Strip.

The re-imagined Sands STYLE, previously named Cotai STYLE for the first 10 years of publication, will be published quarterly in March, June, September and December.

The content, layout design and production will be overseen by the SCMP's specialist publications division, which develops SCMP's supplement publications as well as clients' custom publications. Spearheading the new magazine will be the team's editorial director Winnie Chung, a veteran lifestyle editor.

In addition to a glossy edition, Sands STYLE will be supported by a mobile-optimized website, sharing updated content with readers. The online version also considerably expands the magazine's reach beyond Macao to all netizens.

Ms. Winnie Chung, Editorial Director, SCMP Specialist Publications, said, "We are very excited to be adding Sands STYLE to our strong portfolio of lifestyle titles. The synergies between Sands China and the SCMP, both leaders in their respective fields, will allow us to bring the ultimate lifestyle experience to discerning Macao visitors and allow them to savour Macao through the unique prism of the Sands Resorts experience and the editorial expertise of SCMP and to take the same home with them. We are especially thrilled to partner with Sands China to launch their first online editorial portal for the magazine."

Mr. Romanus Ng, General Manager, SCMP Advertising & Marketing Solutions, said, "With the advent of more luxury hotel accommodation in Macao, spearheaded by the highly-demanded Parisian Macao and other Sands China's hotels, tourism in Macao is expected to grow from strength to strength in the coming years. The Sands Style partnership between Sands China and the SCMP is a promising collaboration that will leverage that new opportunity to introduce the beauty and lifestyle of Macao to tourists in the region and beyond. This partnership also bodes well for the SCMP, as we strengthen our position to engage visitors with a full spectrum of print and digital lifestyle content from our supplementary publications to our custom publications."

Mr. Dave Horton, Global Chief Marketing Officer for Las Vegas Sands Corp. and Sands China Ltd., said, "Sands China is committed to bringing the world's best Entertainment, Events, Shopping, Dining and Accommodations to Macao to further solidify Macao's standing as the leading destination in the region for Leisure and Business Travel. Our STYLE magazine has always served as a key to the Sands Resorts experience. We are pleased to be partnering with the SCMP to introduce an all new Sands STYLE both in print and digitally as we continue to grow and expand on the lifestyle offerings of Sands Resorts Macao on our vibrant Sands Cotai Strip."

Sands STYLE will be distributed at The Venetian Macao, Sands Macao, The Plaza Macao (featuring the Four Seasons Hotel Macao), Sands Cotai Central (home to The St. Regis Macao, Conrad Macao, Cotai Central, Sheraton Grand Hotel Macao, Cotai Central and Holiday Inn Macao Cotai Central), The Parisian Macao, the Sands Cotai Water Jet Ferry and Sands Resorts Limos, and other lifestyle hotspots in Hong Kong and Macao, including airport lounges, coffee shops and selected restaurants.
